This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Stepie Terms of Service and applies to the Stepie iOS and Android apps and related services. By using the Services, you agree to these rules.

1. Use the Services lawfully, respectfully, and safely

You are responsible for content you submit, generate, store, or share and for the consequences of use. You must have the necessary rights and authority, respect privacy, intellectual property, personality, and other rights, and comply with applicable law.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Do not create, store, or distribute criminal, terrorist, hateful, sexually exploitative, harassing, threatening, self-harm-promoting, or other seriously harmful content;
  • Do not engage in fraud, phishing, impersonation, manipulation, spam, fake reviews, or deception, including falsely presenting AI output as human work;
  • Do not infringe copyright, trademark, trade secret, likeness, reputation, privacy, or data-protection rights, or upload confidential or sensitive data without authority;
  • Do not use the Services to design malware, attack code, weapons, unlawful surveillance, or directly actionable instructions for serious harm;
  • In medical, legal, financial, employment, education, housing, credit, safety, or other high-risk settings, do not rely solely on AI for a decision with significant effects without qualified human review.

3. System, security, and automation restrictions

  • Do not access accounts, data, APIs, servers, or networks without authorization; test vulnerabilities; or bypass permissions, limits, content safety, or safeguards;
  • Do not disrupt service, introduce malware, carry out denial-of-service attacks, or abuse registration, subscriptions, refunds, invitations, or notifications;
  • Without written permission, do not scrape, bulk download, resell, mass-generate spam or SEO content, or use non-public Stepie content to train a competing model;
  • Do not share, sell, or transfer accounts, tokens, API keys, or help another person evade this Policy.

4. AI-generated content labels and distribution

Stepie identifies AI interaction through an “AI Agent” or “AI Assistant” title and bot cue in conversation; places an “AI-generated” visible notice at the beginning or end of generated text that is copied, shared, downloaded, or exported; and uses a visible label and/or necessary metadata for applicable image, audio, video, or other files. Exact presentation may change with content type, platform capability, and mandatory standards.

  • Do not maliciously remove, alter, forge, or conceal a legally required or Stepie-provided label;
  • Do not falsely label human content as AI-generated or use labels to harm another person’s rights;
  • If the law allows you to obtain content without a visible label, disclose its AI-generated nature and add a compliant visible label before public distribution;
  • Labels do not replace fact-checking, rights review, or your responsibility for sharing output.

5. Personal information and third-party content

Do not submit identity documents, financial accounts, health, precise location, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for the task. Before processing another person’s data or protected content, obtain valid authority and give required notice. Stop using and distributing output that may expose privacy or infringe rights and report it to us.

6. Fair use and service limits

To keep the Services stable, secure, and fair, we may set reasonable limits based on subscription tier, model cost, request frequency, concurrency, context size, or risk. Do not evade limits through multiple accounts or automation. We give appropriate notice of material changes to paid core benefits.

7. Enforcement, review, and urgent action

We consider the nature, severity, repetition, impact, and account history and may issue a warning, remove content, restrict a function, suspend, or terminate access. We may act first where there is an immediate safety, legal, or rights risk. Where allowed, we explain the main reason and provide a review route.

If you believe an action was mistaken, request review within the period stated in the notice or, if no period is stated, within a reasonable time. Include the account email, relevant time and feature, and your reason. We respond within a reasonable period; complex investigations or legal restrictions may take longer.

8. Reporting, updates, and contact

Report abuse, infringement, security issues, or improper AI content to support@syworkshop.cn. Do not include unrelated sensitive information.

We may update this Policy for new features, risks, or law and give reasonable advance notice of material changes. Translations are provided for convenience. If a translation conflicts with the Chinese version, the Chinese version controls unless applicable law requires otherwise.
